of a statement by Bill with OU leaving for the SEC - but I have seen this argument thrown around about these Pac-12 teams comparing to Kansas, so I did a little statistical exercise to compare Kansas to Arizona, Cal, Colorado and Stanford the last 10 years (2020 excluded because it skews negatively for Kansas):
Kansas:
Total W/L: 17-90 (.150)
Scoring Margin/game: -18
P5 Wins/season: 0.9
Best season: 3-9 (4x)
Colorado:
Total W/L: 40-71 (.360)
Scoring Margin/game: -7
P5 Wins/season: 2.6
Best season: 10-4 (2016)
Arizona:
Total W/L: 53-61 (.465)
Scoring Margin/game: -1
P5 Wins/season: 3.9
Best Season: 10-4 (2014)
Cal:
Total W/L: 46-57 (.447)
Scoring Margin/game: -2.5
P5 Wins/season: 3.7
Best Season: 8-5 (2x)
Stanford (not sure why you even included):
Total W/L: 78-41 (.655)
Scoring Margin/game: +7
P5 Wins/season: 7.6
Best Season: 12-2 (2x)
The teams you have listed actually have more comparable results to Texas Tech and a few others than Kansas. If we really want to take Stanford into account, they have probably had better success over that time period than most, if not all of the remaining Big 12 teams.
