Fact is, they better pray he turns USC around or it is likely USC leaves.
The PAC12 south is about the easiest path to the playoff yet nobody can get it together. If USC can combine talent and coaching at the same time, they should make the playoff every so often. If they cannot get it done, I think they have to make a move to become relevant outside the West.
While I may not be very objective, you can tell the PAC is a notch behind the big 4 conferences at every level. Utah plays good KWhitt defense and that caries them along. That works in the modern PAC12, but would leave them mid-range in most other conferences because they can't score against a good defense.
