Perhaps. But we always focus on FB/BB and crazy HS football recruits and their
instagram circus or college FB coaches and their 10+ million/year contracts, rather than realizing that there are a ton of other kids (and coaches) working hard and accomplishing cool things even if they go unnoticed..
As others alluded to, there are so many direct and indirect benefits of college athletics that benefit both the school and student outside of the financial ramifications.
I actually think these days are better because its easier to follow these other athletes/programs (like women's soccer this year) and they seem to get more school and fan support than ever before..
