Arizona lost to an FCS school and went 1-11, so holding them to 2.3 ypc on 35
attempts is good, but I don't think that opponent qualifies as one of "the best most physical teams on our schedule."
Utah rushed for 7.7 ypc on 25 attempts, leading to 193 rushing yards. While Utah finished as the PAC12 champion and a respectable 10-4 record, they also lost to SDSU and had 0 FBS wins outside the PAC12, which was probably worse than the MWC this past season. They were a good team, but not great.
Arizona State rushed for 4.9 ypc on 33 attempts, leading to 161 rushing yards. Arizona State finished a respectable 8-5, but they were by no means a powerhouse either.
IIRC Pili got injured in the ASU game, so there you have it. I'm not sure why I'm supposed to be impressed by these stats with Pili stuffing the run against 1 awful team, one decent team, and one good but not great team. Giving up 5 and 7 ypc in those games is not impressive.
