Or trained much at home, which can lead to these types of events. It sounds like this dog thinks that it's the alpha and not the dad and/or mom of the home. Even small dogs can be dangerous around the family.

It's bad enough when/if they bite a stranger or visitors, but when they bite its own family (pack), that's bad news.
