This sounds miserable. I'm sorry you had to go through this. This type of thing is my expertise, figuring out the
rare and weird diseases and then managing them. I have seen this story all too often. Unfortunately, what we do in medicine is send people to more specialists when we are confused and what is really needed is one really astute and detailed oriented physician that is willing to spend hours taking a history.
