Your company doesn’t care about you. You are good enough to not get fired.
Take control and find a place that values you. How do you know they value you? By how much they pay you. That’s it.
All these companies who talk like they are family? Don’t believe it. They are in it to make money and they’ll cut you loose without a second thought.
If you like your job and your company gets bought out? Look for another job.
If you like your job and you get a new manager? Start looking for another job.
The key is to be in the drivers seat.

Another way of looking at this is sometimes transferring in hopes of getting more playing time doesn’t work out
