attributed to things hormone or metabolism issues (which means it's less than that for most people). Of my siblings, 2 are morbidly obese and 2 are fit. We all have very similar genetics, but the obese ones make excuses like you just described and the other two exercise daily and count calories.
If one chooses to live a lifestyle that isn't conducive to being fit and healthy, that's their choice, but they should at least own the choice. I can't tell you how many times someone has told me how lucky I am that I am in good shape while they struggle with weight and health issues. Luck has nothing to do with it! I get up at 4:45 am every morning so I can do an intense workout before going to work. Then I spend the day exerting all the self-control I can muster to resist eating things I desperately want but know I don't need. I've chosen to prioritize health and fitness over comfort and food.
