Part of the reason I was able to get in great shape is because I started lifting at 5AM, which requires waking up at 4:30. Before, I would never wake up that early because I watched Netflix or played video games until 11PM. I decided to prioritize my morning workouts over watching TV late at night, now I go to sleep at 9PM every night.
Unless you work the graveyard shift at a coal mine or ER or 7-11, there is no reason you can't go to sleep earlier. I'm not saying this is the only way to do it, some people get a great workout in after work but I'm not that guy, I can't work out after work because I'm exhausted.
