After all, conservative areas are not the ones leading the charge to decriminalize drug use, raise the thresholds for habitually-committed crimes, and inventing or legislating rights for "unhoused persons" to live and sleep in public places.

Perhaps it was a team effort to get here (tightwad conservatives, permissive liberals) but the blame doesn't solely (or perhaps even primarily) lie with the right.
