The Warriors traded KD for Russell which got them Wiggins
Easily the 2nd most important player in the finals. They also got a Lottery pick but he didn’t help with this title.
Celtics gave up Pierce and Garnett ended up being bad and getting picks.
Cavs got Wiggins and Kyrie after Lebron left and tanking.
Grizzlies gave up Gasol and sat Conley to get Ja.
The 76ers are THE example of tanking
The Spurs got Tim Duncan by sitting their entire team to tank but didn’t really get there by a trade.
The Lakers got the assets they needed to get Anthony Davis by tanking as well

The thing people miss about trading Rudy & Donovan is that you’re also likely getting back a top 5 (or top 3) draft pick
