Yes , they fly different planes.

Or at least different versions of the same plane. Navy uses the f18, Air Force does not. They both use the f35. But the navy version is different. The navy used to use the f14 (the plane in the original Al top gun). Air Force planes are: f22, f35, f15, f16 etc. I’m sure several on here know this stuff better than me. Correct me if I am wrong.

Top Gun question. Do only Navy planes and pilots fly from Aircraft Carriers? Wouldn’t logically the AF have the best
