same combat abilities as Army Rangers, and Force Recon were level with Delta Force. Then there were a few classmates furious that an Air Force dweeb scored highest on an *objective* foreign language test than he did because apparently the Airman didn't know the language as well as Marines do. Good times were had at a previous job trying to unteach one Marine bad habits (another Marine on the team was excellent TBF) which he couldn't be convinced were bad habits because his unit did it that way.

Marines are typically first among equals, I'll give them that. But not everyone is equal and a lot of them seem to have a God complex.
