That opinion is looking at Football in a vacuum, I think that would be near
impossible to accomplish anytime soon. When schools start getting kicked out of conferences (e.g. Rutgers) than I’ll be more concerned about that fate. I’m also thinking about KU, they would be left out of this super league for football but belong when it comes to basketball.
I do think this is only the beginning of change but I’m hopeful it won’t be as bleak as what Herbstreit is suggesting.

Maybe but I think that is still several more years away. And a 16 team playoff could change conversations fast.
