It seems to me that either PAC-12 or BigXII survives this next round ... which ever one manages to poach a few P5 schools from the other.
LOTS of talk (here and on national level) of BigXII taking AZ schools. Some talk about Cal/Stanford and WA/Or.
However, almost no talk about the reverse.
PAC-12 trying to get Texas Tech or Baylor. Or even TCU or Kansas.
WHY not?
Is it because WA and Or are trying soo hard to leave that no one at the BigXII schools is even thinking about it?
Is it because the new Pac-12 commish was soooo blindsided and unprepared?
Something else?
Fundamentally, the "leftovers" in the PAC-12 aren't really all that different than the BigXII, .... But the PAC-12 doesn't seem to be anywhere near as cohesive or ready for the next round of expansion.
