We need to remember WHY p12 is imploding ... because they aren't valuable brands
People on the West Coast are not watching football like they used to, outside of a very few schools. They do not have strong fanbases.
We don't want to take on teams that are not profitable.

If Utah gets added, I'm going to be physically sick

I want Utah to shrivel and die as much as anyone. But they're an obvious add

I would expect they wouldn't increase the value of a TV deal much

They really are not, when your conference is looking for stable value adds...

Not true. The Holy War would be one of the best games in the Big 12 inventory

Utah's TV numbers are heavily subsidized by dumb BYU fans that tune into them...

Why would the Big XII care who watches as long as they're watching?

The WAC expansion, however, expanded with teams that didn't generate enough revenue to offset travel costs

And my point remains... Utah doesn't add the value... neither does Colorado... neither does Arizona.

One gain in adding any of the schools mentioned is it would kill off PAC

Show me some numbers. BYU already delivers the Utah market. What does Utah add?

Yeah, I don't see it. If BYU/U continue to play, the B12 will have broadcast

Stanford over Utah all day long. UO, UW, ASU, Zona, CU, Cardinal and we ride!

Because it's sooo easy to play in the sandbox when Stanford is invited...

In the Pac12, Stanford's politics would fly. In Texas and the Big 12 not so much

Still don't understand how a Pac-12/Big 12 merger makes any sense for the Big 12
TNT

It removes the PAC-12 as a competing entity which removes the risk of any Big 12
