Why would the SEC care? I mean if they want Florida St they will invite them, but other than that
why do they care if they enter into Florida? The ACC, now the Big 12, the old Big East have all been in Florida. The SEC has been doing just fine.

The ACC has absolutely been a threat to the SEC as well as the old Big East. You are misremembering history.
