The ACC has absolutely been a threat to the SEC as well as the old Big East. You are misremembering history.
Like I said, if the SEC wants Florida St they will invite them. If they don't, the affiliation with Florida doesn't really mean a lot.
Since 2006 only two conferences have won national titles. The ACC and the SEC.
You don't think a Florida St/Clemson matchup is a big draw? Yes currently the ACC is far behind the Big 10. It hasn't always been that way. The old ACC looked like a great conference when they first became one.
How about Miami and all of their titles in the Big East?

They really wouldn't. But the thing is, if the school doesn't make sense to the SEC to take, it's not going to make

I don't think they'd sit by. But if there are ACC schools that are in a position to leave their conference, every one
