I'm suggesting the SEC will be fine without FSU like it has for the past 70 years.
That despite not having FSU they have thrived and become the top conference in college football.

Well, Warren's mention of FSU and Miami is a shot across the bow of both the ACC

I doubt Greg Sankey is worried much.

No he's not shaking in his boots, but you would be foolish to think the SEC

Why would the SEC care? I mean if they want Florida St they will invite them, but other than that

All due respect to the ACC & Big East schools traveling to play in Florida, but

The ACC has absolutely been a threat to the SEC as well as the old Big East. You are misremembering history.

This isn't about competitiveness on the field, especially not historical

Again that hasn't always been the case. Not sure what you are missing here.

Are you suggesting that the ACC has the potential in the future to match the SEC

"Top conference in football" on the field - no doubt. In money? Not for long

True I glanced over that one, but remember it well.

They really wouldn't. But the thing is, if the school doesn't make sense to the SEC to take, it's not going to make

I agree that I think the SEC wants Florida St. I would venture that they will get Florida St. I guess we will see.

Not true. FSU could be worth more to the B1G (new market) than it is worth to
NOCAL_YFAN

It's not a new market. It's Tallahassee. That's like calling Ogden a new market.

7/26/22 5:16pm
Really? FSU is just the Tallahassee market, huh? Ok, I think I'm done here.

I don't think they'd sit by. But if there are ACC schools that are in a position to leave their conference, every one

One thing we've learned is that enough money can get you over a lot of obstacles
NOCAL_YFAN
7/26/22 4:53pm
That's true. But I don't see a situation where the TV value per school for the Big10 is ever greater.

7/26/22 4:55pm
Again, don't confuse on field competitiveness (SEC hands down) with TV value

He didn’t mention any schools by name. Sources did.

True, so technically Warren didn't shoot the shot, "other sources" did
NOCAL_YFAN
7/26/22 4:44pm
Technically, Warren said that a “handful of schools were being considered”, he didn’t name any names however
