This isn't about competitiveness on the field, especially not historical
competitiveness. This is all about TV money. The gap between the SEC and the ACC financially is so significant, they are no threat to the SEC. If the SEC wants FSU, it can take them. If the B1G want FSU, it can also take them. If the B1G takes FSU, then FSU's revenue could very well exceed SEC schools (like Florida for example). The rest of the B1G would make more too. I'm pretty sure the SEC won't want that.
