This is not a private university, and I hate that they can just appropriate funds to support politically motivated objectives.

I’ll never understand why a poor African American or poor Native American is anymore deserving of help than poor white kids, but more and more I see programs like this designed to help people get out of poverty but only if they aren’t white. Because screw poor white kids right? The real problem isn’t skin color it’s poverty and I find it sad we’re leaving so many behind.
