poverty, and we should be helping ALL impoverished people. But when you limit that help to only certain races, it's frustrating. If that's what you're trying to say, I understand. I think most of us agree that all impoverished people need help. And there are absolutely instances where people use help for minorities to gain political points.
But here's the catch, some of these groups, especially Native Americans, are flat out beaten down. I lived on the Navajo Reservation for over 3 years. And that's one of the better reservations. These people need all the help they can get. What they are facing is beyond poverty. They don't even have access to great schools. Most of them may struggle even if they get into college for free. Native Americans are so worse off than you can imagine. Look into the reports of the missing women on reservations. It'll shock you.
Most people: black, white, hispanic, asian who come from poverty are disadvantaged. They all will have to overcome cultural obstacles to better their lives. But Native Americans are coming from an even more difficult place. Don't be angry. Access to a better life is already there for anyone who chooses to reach beyond their current lifestyle.
