It’s kind of pointless arguing this if you don’t understand what I’m talking about. Teams play each other and somebody wins. It doesn’t mean that one of those teams is definitively better a year later. It means that they were better on that day.
Sometimes the team they beat will get ranked higher than they are by the end of the year. It doesn’t mean that their ranking is wrong. Teams change and circumstances change. Players change. Players improve and sometimes they get worse. It just means that one team was better on that day. That’s it.
