Whenever a lower tier p5 matches up against an elite blue blood and plays a game that close...it's actually
a solid win in the perception battle.
For Utah, a team that was starting several sophomores and freshmen, that perception would be huge coming into 2022. So the win for Utah is now being seen in the previews, rankings and coverage heading into 2022.
Even if it's all hype, the media exposure and validity is great for recruits, current talent and the perception of the program. At a time in realignment and uncertainty when perception matters. Perhaps more than ever.
