After dropping the rest of my party off and going to park my car…
I walked probably a half mile, by myself, in my royal blue gear, right by the Oregon tailgate scene en route to the BYU tailgate.
I experienced zero epithets, slander or trash talk, but a helpful usher did point me to the BYU alumni tailgate.
The most offense I took was at the $25 waffle and granola bar I was provided once safely within the confines of a gathering of fellow Cougs at the actual tailgate.
I don’t doubt there were jerks. The bleep the Mormons chant confirms. I had a couple “Welcome to Autzens” on the way in, and the Oregon fans by us in the BYU section were fine. Experienced nothing personally from the Oregon faithful that was objectionable.

I had literally the opposite experience. All day long fans went out of their way to be super friendly to us.
