Honestly, I have been to multiple BYU games across the country and I think it really shocked me when it happened, cause I have never felt this kind of annomosity anywhere else outside of RES. I think it really took a second or two for my son in law and myself to register what had just happened. I think if he had stuck around in got in our faces a bit longer than yeah we would have done something...but by the time we realized what he had done and cleaned the crap off of us he was already back in his seat...the other part that truly disgusted me was how silent all the other fans were around us...these guys would just up and swear at us everytime the team scored...had this ever happened at LES i guarantee I and many other fans would have told him to shut up or get escorted out of the stadium.
