I only thought it worth mentioning this since the thread is about how horrible the Oregon fans were. They had every opportunity to be awful towards me, as I dropped my party near the tailgate, drove a half mile to park our car, then walked back alone. They weren’t.

I was with a group when I wasn’t alone where everyone’s a pretty big dude. I don’t think we’re particularly intimidating. At all. But size may have been a factor. Ditto for sitting in the BYU section. We proactively engaged Duck fans around us throughout the day. I think that helps too. But none of that prevents chance encounters with aggressively rude fans. Most likely, we were just lucky there

I’ve also heard from P12 school friends that the Autzen reception is vastly different depending on whether the Ducks win or lose.

Anyway, after “the chant“ and a week of Twitter nastiness, I’m not champing at the bit to defend Oregon fans. But live and in person, I had no issues with them. Some were nice. I’d want people that visited Lavell Edwards Stadium with no ill encounters to speak up as well so…
