I have 3 kids in college right now, all juniors

2 and BYU, 1 at UVU. Son in accounting at BYU, Daughter in Psychology (She's also a swimmer), Daughter in Business at UVU.

Depending on your boy, he may want to reconsider.  BYU is by far more challenging and at a higher level regardless of the program.  Even the Pyscology at BYU program is more intense than the business program at UVU.  Accounting is in a class of its own.

At BYIU you get almost no 2nd chances, at UVU you can retake tests over and over until you get the grade you want.  What better though is the student experience, it is unmatched at BYU.

My UVU child loves UVU, its perfect for her because her academics are not up to BYU standards.  She's right where she needs to be.  BUT, I can tell you, if the other two were at UVU vs BYU they woudl not be getting what they need academically at UVU to further their studies.

Nothing wrong with UVU AT ALL.  We love both places and it's a great fit for our student, but if you have a BYU caliber student and they can go to BYU, they should.  There really is no comparison in my book.

Of course the individual makes more difference than the school.
