If you want to get an idea of how much longer it will be with an EV...
Tesla has their Navigation online, where you can select one of their car models and navigate between two points with charging: https://www.tesla.com/trips
You can also use A Better Route Planner, which will help you navigate with any EV (not just Tesla) and it will navigate a route including charging stops needed for whatever car you select: https://abetterrouteplanner.com

Stopping 4 times and waiting 1 hour and 40 min (assuming no lines) sounds ridiculous. Particularly in the desert.
