I don’t believe you or him. He was going to take it because Utah hadn’t offered

yet. Or maybe they had. Holmoe must have done a good sales job. It could have been Scalley, his wife, Chris Hill or some water boy. The first Utah voice he heard after leaving Tom would have snapped him back into his reality .

Or he would have said never mind when he called his assistants and none of them wanted to go to BYU, or BYU wasn’t going to pay them enough anyway.

He may have decided whatever in his head , but the reality of it was not going to happen.
