I often hear these kinds of stories from Utes or antis but never witnessed it
myself at byu so have a hard time believing them. Hearing it on hear, trusting it actually happened, makes me realize this does happen and it ticks me off.

Who cares if byu is the higher ranked school. That isn’t something you brag about and say to someone’s face.

That being said, let’s look at the whole picture. These byu kids didn’t drove over to your daughters house to tell her she went to an elementary school. They were upset that their team lost and got defensive.
They shouldn’t have said it, but context matters. So for people to take away from this story that byu kids are ethicist and snobby is dumb. If they say that often on random days sure. But after losing to your school, seems more knee jerk defensiveness than actually belief.

For the record I attended both schools. Classes at uvu were so flippin easy. But I never ever ever said that to anyone who went to uvu while I was at byu. Where someone went to school didn’t matter to me. But if I was looking for conversation I would say, “oh cool. I went there for a bit. I really liked this this and this at uvu.”
