In this case, these friends often take jabs at her/UVU, but she usually rolls with it. (She really isn't a knee-jerk reactionist.)

I was trying to make the point that I can see why students/alumni from UVU (and other in-state schools) take offense at these comments and sporting events like last night can show the pettiness on both sides.

Really nothing more than that and used one incident (of course there are more) to illustrate.
