BYU getting in the Big 12 shows that it IS about sports (and now they finally have the money for proper recruiting coaches AND recruits will pay attention because of the conference).

OTOH, if you're one of those fans that thinks BYU needs to do away with the honor code in favor of a game then you've lost credibility with me.

Additionally, I think it's important for all fans who say BYU doesn't care about sports to realize that the move to the Big 12 DID NOT have to happen (and WOULD NOT have happened without the approval and support of the BoT - BYU is and always will be owned by the Church)! Yes, a couple of the brethren don't care about BYU sports, but many, many do, and they made sure BYU got into a bonafide P5 conference, and NOW IS OUR TIME!

Now is the time to be optimistic!
