The real question is- why do they even bother playing the games?
Obviously Utah needs to just be declared the Moral National Champion. We shouldn't waste time having them play- those Utah players have some serious cold fusion research to get back to, and it is going to solve the energy crisis.

The most logical metric is to start with the CFP era...there Utah is a full fledged member receiving the same

This is pretty close to exactly that - starting in 2013, instead of 2014. Utah is up there... but not at the top
