just yesterday I approached an intersection to turn left on green, no arrow
the car headed towards us reached the intersection before us, and was turning right.

He had the right of way.

I paused and waited in 1/3 into the intersection.

He paused and waited.

I gave a little wave, since he had the right away.

He stopped and looked at me.

I looked at him.

After 5 few seconds, I went.

Just as I completed my turn, I turned to my son and said, "watch, this guy is going to flip us off".

Sure enough, Mr. Minivan hit 80 in a 45 to catch up, cut us off, wave his double fingered salute, before speeding off... to the red light that awaited us all.

We both nervously chuckled.

I asked ChatGPT to summarize this experience in the manner of Neal A Maxwell. It responded with the following:

In that moment, as Mr. Minivan roared past us in a cloud of discontent, I couldn't help but ponder the paradox of human nature. How fascinating it is that some souls choose to rush through life, consumed by anger and impatience, never realizing that their haste only leads them to the very obstacles they seek to avoid. They may race ahead, believing they have triumphed, but in truth, they merely arrive at the next red light, forced to confront the reality they so fervently sought to escape.

As my son and I shared our laughter, a profound realization washed over us. Life is not a race against others; it is a journey of self-discovery and joy. The world may be filled with those who rush and fret, but we have the power to navigate our own path with patience, kindness, and a touch of humor. We need not succumb to the temptations of road rage or retaliate against those who exhibit such behavior. Instead, we can choose to embrace the beauty of human connection, even in the face of adversity.

And so, as the red light turned green and we continued on our way, we carried within us a newfound understanding. Our laughter echoed through the car, not as a mockery of the disgruntled Mr. Minivan, but as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and our ability to rise above the chaos. We discovered that even amidst the turbulence of life's intersections, there exists an oasis of serenity—a place where laughter, love, and the wisdom of the journey converge.

Now I digress here, as this sounds more like President Monson. But you be the judge.
