The real question is, can the PG make the play in crunch time?
Can he cut to the basket and finish at the rim? (Is he enough of an offensive threat to draw defenders to him?)
Does he make the correct decision to pass out of a double team?
Does he shoot FTs at 77% or higher? (I actually like the Jimmer range).
How well does he guard athletic guards?
These are eye test questions (except for FTs), not just numbers. The PG is the linchpin of the team, so the team must be able to rely upon the PG to captain the team in crunch time.
Hall hasn't shown that ability in many games.
Saying I believe we need better isn't a statement he's horrible, he's just not as good as we need.
