I don't think they will. Builders aren't Building starter homes any more.

A higher percent of the next generation will be lifelong renters, and it will be even worse for the generation after them. Just as farmland has been eaten up by city neighborhoods, single family homes are being eaten up by multifamily units.

The landscape is changing in a way that will lead society closer to that of a serfdom where very few land owners control the majority of the property.
