For me (little kids still) my only thinking is I should try to acquire multiple

properties myself in the next 10 years and renting them out until my kids are old enough to need housing. Ironically, though, that would exacerbate the problem in the near term with more rentals in the market...and it takes significant capital especially with how expensive everything is now.
