Exactly how I see it as well. You can think KY is incredible, because he is and will be, and an upgrade and still feel
that Pope was a great coach and really really good for BYU. Because he was. The two are not mutually exclusive.

If Pope keeps a heavy eye on Utah — or on BYU's interests — while at UK... he won't last two years there.

I'm not sold Pope will value them all that much. He risks a lot of criticism if they don't pan out for him at UK.

Ruechert probably will be a target by Pope, yes. I don't see Pope eyeing Utah recruiting much beyond that, though.
