Nah. Not once Pope's initial efforts to retain his players, recruits & staff have expired anyways.
BYU is not in the same conference, & will RARELY compete for the same recruits beyond this season.
Pope's continued success will ultimately be a very good thing for BYU, imo. He was here long enough to always be remembered as a BYU guy. Woulda been nice he'd made a bit more of a dent in the offseason this season, but still, his success at BYU obviously got noticed on the national stage.

If Pope keeps a heavy eye on Utah — or on BYU's interests — while at UK... he won't last two years there.

I'm not sold Pope will value them all that much. He risks a lot of criticism if they don't pan out for him at UK.

Ruechert probably will be a target by Pope, yes. I don't see Pope eyeing Utah recruiting much beyond that, though.
