It depends on how many top 50 lds HS players there are. If none then fine but
Dean Rueckert maybe a battle very soon. If pope relies on too many Utah/lds guys he's in trouble but if he goes for the top one every other year it will hurt byu. We have been used to it because we're in the WCC but in the big 12 with the right Coach, we should be able to get those guys

If Pope keeps a heavy eye on Utah — or on BYU's interests — while at UK... he won't last two years there.

I'm not sold Pope will value them all that much. He risks a lot of criticism if they don't pan out for him at UK.

Ruechert probably will be a target by Pope, yes. I don't see Pope eyeing Utah recruiting much beyond that, though.
