For sure, and honestly it will probably come down to his assistants. KY has the know how to win and develop players. He
may prove to be a really good recruiter. He said it himself though, it is critical to get the right guys on his staff and and that he will need to rely on them.
Lots to prove but the ability to coach and win games I believe is there. Getting the right pieces and players in the crazy world the NCAA is currently will be challenging for sure.

If Pope keeps a heavy eye on Utah — or on BYU's interests — while at UK... he won't last two years there.

I'm not sold Pope will value them all that much. He risks a lot of criticism if they don't pan out for him at UK.

Ruechert probably will be a target by Pope, yes. I don't see Pope eyeing Utah recruiting much beyond that, though.
