flawed conclusions. The idea that we can reason Gods existence or lack thereof is silly, either way. I gave the example of why logic fails in trying to prove God doesn't exist. I could just as easily do so the other way. There is a reason it is a matter of faith, not science or philosophy--it is simply impossible to prove or disprove by logic or scientific observation.
Where learned people get in trouble is when they consider science the only source of truth. Things are true despite scientist's current inability to observe those phenomena. The atom existed prior to scientists discovering and proving the atom via experiment. Where scientists go awry is when they claim truth or falsity based on the scientific method which can only prove/disprove that which they presently have the ability to observe.
In short, we should drop our arrogance and remember Socrates-we know more than the learned people who think they know because we know that which we do not know.
