Whatever you think about MFL, a joke about hitting women is not cool at all.
Also, the view that you can't filter things for kids is absurd. It is just about who is banning what books. I am certain that books teaching kids about what an abortion really is would be banned. A book praising the KKK or Hitler would get banned.
