The majority of jobs are less labor intensive, our primary mode of
transportation is no longer walking, and food is a lot less expensive and more plentiful. All of that is before we get to lifestyle choices like preferring to stay inside in the evenings doing sedentary leisure (TV, reading, or whatever), and food choices (that we have a ton more of these days) typically being less healthy.
It's actually difficult to think of any job that isn't less labor intensive. Even landscaping, one of today's most labor intensive jobs, has powered equipment.
