I don't know the situation, but I do have a
question. I really hope you don't take this the wrong way because I do not have the facts. But, why was it Crowton's responsibility to make sure Cade was taking the correct courses or proper number of credit hours? I mean the players are supposed to be well aware of what is necessary to be eligable, right? I can not figure out what went wrong (academically) and why that is Crowtons fault.

When I played baseball a few things happened that I thought were totally unfair as well so I totally understand how a player can feel "slighted". However, when it comes to academics I think the player must take responsibility. The coaching staff can try to keep up with each player to make sure things are going ok, but it is really up to the player,isn't it? Perhaps I am missing something on the academic side of things.
