research shows worksheets in elementary school are not productive. Just don't
have your child do it if it is too much (see my post below). What IS effective for elementary school ages is reading--lots of reading--writing, and then more active play types of learning like sports, work, music lessons, chess club, science club, etc.

Now if you are replacing homework with more video game time ... yeah, that's not effective either
