For the most part our teachers have followed the 10 minutes
for every grade level guideline. My 8th grader has about 50-90 minutes of homework every night. A lot of that is reading for English and practicing violin.
The anomaly was 2nd grade. It was 90-120 minutes of homework every night. It was insane. 30 minutes of reading. 30 minutes of math worksheets. And then we'd practice spelling words for 30-60 minutes. It was so frustrating. In retrospect, I wish we'd spoken up and put our foot down.
