I have both and I think both teens and elementary age kids have too much
Having said that, high school kids definitely have more, but it takes elementary age kids way longer to complete their homework, so it seems like they have boatloads. My 2nd grade son will take 4-5 hours to do 20-30 minutes worth of homework every night.
