in other words, finding more relevant/important classes. That's just engaged parenting. I'm very anti-get involved with my kids and tell them to work out most of their problems themselves. But when they tell me "Dad, the X required class teaches typing and I already type 70 wpm, can you opt me into a coding class instead?" then you bet. It's dumb and bad education to have a child waste away bored in a class they don't need. Education works best when it is at THEIR level. Kids are not standard, and neither should be their education. Differentiation is good.
Btw, pe is important too just not so much if they are involved in sports. That's why kids' needs aren't standard
